Waterloo went on the road to Old Cathinians in search for their second victory of the season after last weeks disapointing result. It was a great game to watch as plenty of chances occured but mainly from the traveling side. however Waterloo did make life hard for themselves as they GAVE Old Cats a gifted 1 goal lead as Richy Cain, who picked himself between the posts to replace Veteran Mikey Cain, took a goal kick which was nothing short of s*ite! and to the strikers delight . he was able to collect and lob richy from 25 yards who could only watch it happen.

But Waterloo came together and started to then put their attacking force into action, Chris Cain was denied another penatly, the second week in a row, more to the misfortune of penalty taker Anthony Griffin, who by the way has just got engaged to his Girlfriend. (We are told, he did it in a gentleman manor and got on one knee, while the sun was setting in rome!) we are really happy for you Griffin.

The equaliser was on the cards for Waterloo and it came with Chris Cain picking up the ball in the final third he skipped past the full back on the left hand side , to pull back a cross for Anthony Swift who mis timed his first effort and scuffed it, but the loose ball ganied him another chance as he latched onto it to nock it passed the keeper into the bottom corner to get his third goal in two games!

Waterloo were now taking the game to the Cats and creating more chances with a edge of the box shot from Dave Parr and a shot from Swifty which was just wide kept Cats on the back foot. Hewitson however was the one to find the back of the net, with his second goal in two games. He made a darting run between the centre halves which C Cain spotted, however he over hit it , and Posty 'caught?' the ball to put it in his path to go one-on-one with the keeper, whom he rounded and put Waterloo ahead 2-1. With this being the last action of the half, waterloo came in all smiles leading the game 2 goals to 1

The second half kicked off, and it started the way the first half finished , with the White men controlling the game and passing it round well, especially with the introduction of mike jump who replaced inpressive debutent Paul Williams. The third goal was not far away!

A nice move started by Bally from the right hand side found Parr on the edge of the box, the shot wasnt on so he darted for the corner only to sweap a telling cross into the far post who found left midfielder C Cain who rose unbelievably into the air to meet the ball and bullet it into the top corner, 3-1! which really killed off the home side!

However Cats never gave up as they had further chances to cause headaches for Waterloo, Richy Cain pulled off a fine save when he was one-on-one with their substitute, and John Londons clearance off the line really secured the victory. With the game won, Waterloo could have added to their score tally as substitute and debutent Ian Sumpter found himself latching on to a scrambled cross just inside the box, but his half volleyed effort could only be denied by the camanding defender! that was really the last bit of action to be played as Waterloo came away well deserved winners and we must say Mike you did a great job at reffing but really the gel isnt necessary!
