Waterloo were shocked after going a goal down very early in the game.Their tall centre forward avoided his markers to power a header past the helpless defence. It was a deserved lead for the oppostion as they were very lively in the opening exchanges.Waterloo were opening up their defence with new and impressive aquistion ste crosbie who just couldn,t get the ball to run kindly for him.He would be the first to admit he should have bagged himself a goal in the first half.It was left to greedy goal machine Paul Freeman to get us back level with a strike from 25 yards which flew in the top right hand corner.Superb strike from an in form striker.

This settled the nerves a bit as we still were not firing on all cylinders. The midfield duo of Smith and Quirk were starting to take a stranglehold and stifled their supply to their forwards whilst creating enough quality for us to have been comfortably ahead at half time.It wasn,t to be. A defensive change at half time saw the clueless stopgap centre half rob halpin move to right back and jay currie move into the centre along side ian cooper. This gave us a much better balance to the side. This gave us a strong platform to build from and we began to dominate in all departments.

Paul (greedy) Freeman was in full flow and bagged himself a second half brace. He was unlucky not to score from the half way line from the second half kick off.Dave Smith chipped in with a direct determined run into their box which deflected and looped over the goalies head.Midway through the second half Tom Fairclough replaced the tiring Ste Crosbie.Very impressive debut for the thirds for Ste who will surely start finding the net for us soon.Tom was equally impessive with intelligent running off the ball. He managed to grab himself a goal with a cool finish, despatched nicely after latching onto a threw ball.(LIKE FATHER LIKE SON).

The game ended 5-1 but could and should have been many more.Rob tighe and Dave kennedy each could have scored but for some fine saves by their goalie.Still got loads left in the tank with this squad and someone in the near future is going to be on the end of a trouncing. WELL DONE LADS,KEEP IT UP.
